School Buddies and Peer Mentors

Our Buddies have lots of important roles, including acting as Peer Mentors for our school. They ensure our school remains a safe and happy place to be. They do this by helping our younger children at lunchtime, making sure everyone has someone to play with on our yard and letting our grown-ups know if there are things that need to be changed with their 'buddy messages'.

 

Their role as Peer Mentor means that they are also trained to help children with self-regulation and managing emotions. They are equipped with lots of tools and strategies to make sure they can help people get ‘back into the green zone.’

Their bright yellow caps and rainbow lanyards mean that they can easily be seen by anyone needing help.
